OpenFest Twentieth Edition

We are distracting you during the warm July days to make you smile with a piece of news.

This year we will organize the familiar event again. The edition is the 20th in a row, and the dates are October 15 and 16. Circumstances at the moment include introduction of partial covid measures and a dose of uncertainty about the future, but we will hold OpenFest 2022 live at Sofia Tech Park, John Atanasov Forum.

OpenFest is a conference that covers a wide range of topics related to open culture – free software, open source, open hardware, open data, but also topics from the IT world and the impact of digitization on society and people’s lives. The event itself has an open spirit and everyone is welcome to propose and participate with their topic.

Come to the workshops and lecture streams (we plan to have at least two). If you are interested in attending the event, but will not be able to do so, it will be webcast again.

And in case that you wish to:

  • participate as a speaker
  • hold a workshop
  • present a project
  • help as a volunteer
  • or present another cool idea that is not listed above,

you can register at https://cfp.openfest.org.

We are happy with receiving diversified proposals and look forward to realizing them in the colorful autumn.

Applications are accepted until September 1, 2022.
