SAP – and what has in common open source software with the enterprise world

OpenFest thanks SAP for its support. The global IT company, which develops software solutions for the business, joins again this year as a sponsor of OpenFest and supports the open-source community in Bulgaria.

At SAP, they believe in Open Source, Open Standards, and Open APIs. Their solutions provide more choices and flexibility by using such open technologies. Open Source software requires qualities such as security, data protection, and accessibility to be able to be used in enterprise scenarios.

No single company can keep pace with the power and speed of communities that openly co-innovate. That is why SAP believes that sharing creates value.

SAP is an active contributor, user, and creator of open source software. The company contributes to the following open source projects and foundations:

  • Linux Foundation
  • Cloud Native Computing Foundation
  • Cloud Foundry Foundation
  • Apache Software Foundation
  • Eclipse Foundation
  • Open API
  • OpenJDK
  • Open Stack Foundation
  • Continuous Delivery Foundation
  • ToDo Group

SAP is supporting Open Fest also this year, and they have prepared again interesting logical tasks and prizes for solving them.
